  • Supporting transportation input, particularly sustainable modes, to Local Plan development, planning mechanisms, and development groups across the Council and externally
  • Analysing and interpreting data relating to transportation matters, delivering management information to assist in shaping policy and preparing scheme and strategy development
  • Facilitating and contributing to the development of the forward programme of major sustainable transport projects by commissioning feasibility studies and submitting schemes to prioritisation processes
  • Actively seeking and pursuing, via funding agencies, project grants and private sector initiatives, sources of funding for infrastructure and service provision.
  • Helping to develop and prepare a range of demand management and smarter choice measures, designed to complement LTP infrastructure schemes and to raise awareness of sustainable transport issues
  • Contributing to the development, co-ordination, preparation, and monitoring of the Local Transport Plan (LTP) and area-based transportation strategies, providing advice on the development of other area-based or functional sustainable transport strategies
  • Specific individual and shared targets and objectives are defined annually within the performance management framework

The Experience You Will Bring
