Westmorland and Furness Council’s Highways Service is looking for an organised, hardworking, and methodical candidate to join us as a Policy and Procedures Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Asset Manager in developing policies and procedures and managing the highways service online work spaces and document libraries.

We are looking to recruit a friendly and motivated candidate to join the Highways Service as the service is continuing to grow and develop. We are looking for someone who can ensure all work activities are carried out with a focus on improvement, attention to detail and meeting timescales.

Who we are looking for…

We are looking for a strong communicator, who can take part in effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders, and who can work effectively and coordinate working with colleagues operating across the Highways service.

They will have strong organisational, planning and administration skills, can work well as part of a team, but also have the ability to work with minimum supervision.
