Two-Year Communications and Engagement Officer: Garden Community - Tendring District Council
Tendring
Fixed Term, Part Time
£35,235 pro rata per annum
Location: Tendring
Closing Date: 2nd January 2025
This exciting opportunity allows the officer to join the Tendring Colchester Borders Garden Community (TCBGC) Project Team, working with neighbouring authorities to help drive forward and influence this nationally important strategic new development.
The Garden Community will provide a once in a lifetime opportunity to create a place to live, work and play in a better way. You will join a motivated, driven and supportive team that strives for excellence, values its members, and which will make a real difference to the lives of existing and future residents. The Project Team is a multi-disciplinary team of planners, urban designers and other built environment professionals, working across the joint authorities of Tendring District, Colchester City and Essex County Councils.
You'll have the chance to use your creativity to bring our messages to life and support us to achieve our communications objectives. You will have a good understanding of internal and external communications channels, experience of writing content for a range of channels and an eye for design. Our ideal candidate will have an interest in the built environment; however, this is not essential - the most important thing is that you are enthusiastic, adaptable, and quick to learn.
The Council offers a great range of employee benefits including:
- Flexible working arrangements.
- Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
- Generous leave entitlement.
- Free parking.
- Discounted Corporate Gym Membership.
- Several Salary Sacrifice initiatives.
