Do you want to join a team helping to shape the future of Wakefield through HIghways Development Management? 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Highways Development Management Team as an Highways Development Management Engineer at a time of great investment and regeneration for the district.


The team  provides quality consultation on new developments across the Wakefield District. The main drives for the team are to encourage innovation through design and to ensure that development proposals meet all standards set out, ensuring the best provision of services to the existing and prospective residents and businesses in Wakefield.
 

We are looking to appoint an Highways Development Management Engineer within the team to play a major role in the planning and consultation process for development throughout the District. 


Good communication skills are essential in the role of Engineer within this team, as you will be asked to provide in depth reviews and comments regarding planning submissions that have an impact on the highway network. You will also represent the team at Planning Committees and other review panels where needed. The role requires you to work closely with other departments, Councillors and interested parties so proven experience of confidently and professionally conveying information both written and oral in a clear, concise and persuasive style will be required.


This role is based in the Wakefield One building in Wakefield City Centre at a time of exciting change and renovation across the city. As a member of the wider Regeneration and Economic Growth team you will be at the forefront of these historic projects.
