The City of Doncaster Council is a confident, ambitious organisation which puts improving the life of its residents at the centre of everything we do. You have a opportunity to be part of this in the role of Technician Highway Inspector Routine Maintenance Officer.     

We are currently recruiting for a Highway Technician to work primarily as a member of a team undertaking walked and driven Highway Safety Inspections within a section involved in routine and asset maintenance and the management and administration of the adopted highway network.   

The position will support the Routine Highways Maintenance Engineer deliver, on time and to budget, the annual programmes of Highway Safety Inspections and Highway Maintenance Programmed Works.   

The successful person will be expected to identify potential safety defects within the highway and instigate the appropriate remedial action, assist with the upkeep of Highway Inspection records, plans and documentation and assist with the identification of the Highways Maintenance Programmed Works.

The ideal candidate will be well-organised, flexible, and have good communication skills.
