We are recruiting x 2 Full-time Highway Asset Officer based in Teignbridge, Exeter or Eastern areas - however there will be at times a requirement to work across other areas of Devon as part of a wider Asset delivery Team.
The role is part of a team responsible for the ongoing management and maintenance of Devon’s highway assets.
The position involves the following key tasks:
• Early Contract Involvement (ECI) and Design of planned work programmes for highway maintenance projects
• Working alongside Local Neighbourhood Teams to best understand local community needs.
• Auditing highway maintenance and other contracts to ensure compliance with DCC contract conditions and specifications
• Review, manage and approve payments for highway maintenance schemes
• Apply a working knowledge of appropriate highway policies and procedures, and maintain awareness of technical developments and good working practice
