The Highways Service plays a crucial role in various aspects of life for the whole county, delivering essential services for residents, businesses, and visitors. It oversees both reactive and planned maintenance activities on the county's road network, along with managing significant highway projects.
As the Head of Highways, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management for the service. You will ensure the successful execution of high-profile projects and maintenance programmes, collaborating with our highway service provider, Balfour Beatty Living Places. Additionally, you will serve as the NEC Project Manager for the Council’s Highway Maintenance and Professional Services contract, overseeing all responsibilities as outlined in the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract.
As an innovative and creative leader, you will shape the future direction of the Highways Service.
