Traffic Engineer
Telent are on the lookout for a Traffic Engineer to join a talented and experienced team of Engineers, covering the areas in and around Salisbury, Wiltshire and Southampton. We have some fantastic, long-term contracts and programmes with local authorities and councils, looking after and maintaining crucial Traffic Lighting / Traffic Signalling equipment, that keeps the UK moving and keep the UK safe. This is a field-based role that will see you travel from site to site, working with a dedicated team who thrive on delivering on our mission-critical projects.
The role of Traffic Engineer will see you carry out Traffic Signals maintenance whilst successfully carrying out maintenance on associated Traffic equipment and the commissioning of Traffic Signals equipment. Traffic Engineer - Who you are:
The successful Traffic Engineer for this position, will already have experience of Installing and/or Maintaining Traffic Lights / Traffic Signalling equipment. Experience of detection boxes, controllers, Traffic Signal lights / heads, electrical wiring and cabling is required, alongside the quality of being able to offer great customer service, communication, teamworking and troubleshooting / fixing skills. You will ideally already be NHSS / HERS Chapter 8 aware / certified and be able to handle work in all weathers and conditions. This role will eventually see you form part of a 1-in-4 week Standby rota, which you will be compensated for.
