About this opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to work within the challenging and ever-changing landscape of Highways Operations.

Successful applicants will need to be able to lead a multi-disciplinary team of operational staff delivering a wide range of activities, ensuring they meet given standards, timescales and targets.  The role will also hold the responsibility for the construction of highway improvement and maintenance projects. 

It will require close liaising with the Highways Network Engineer, the wider management team in the Highway’s directorate and relevant stakeholders, as well as the management of a diverse mix of operational and support staff.  


The role is based within the Millness Depot but will require regular site visits to assess and ascertain progress of works.


We are looking for an organised, experienced and enthusiastic Highways Construction Engineer who is a team player and who is keen to learn and progress within the Highways Service.
