We are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to join the Highway Design team and support in the design and implementation of highway and infrastructure projects.
Our current portfolio is extensive and varied and you will have the opportunity to be involved from the inception to completion of projects, taking ownership and shaping the outcomes. The projects range in scope and value from minor, community-driven schemes in residential areas to large-scale, multimillion-pound interventions in the City’s thriving development areas.
Examples of recently completed projects include:
Trafford Road - £20m installation of LTN1/20-compliant cycling and walking facilities along the busy A5063 corridor including five CYLOPS junctions.
Swinton Greenway – £4m scheme linking Swinton and Monton with 7km of off-road routes and complimentary Highway interventions to promote/enable access. Highly Commended at the 2023 CIHT North-West awards.
Using your extensive working knowledge of the relevant technical standards, you will produce design packages to an excellent standard using AutoCAD, Civils 3D and associated software. You will also be competent and experienced in supervising construction activities.
About your benefits
You will be welcomed into a friendly environment where your personal and professional development will be encouraged and you will have the opportunity to work and grow in a values based organisation where people are at the heart of everything we do. We promote a positive permission culture, empowering you to make a difference.
