The Parking Services Team manages the available on/off-street parking and enforces the Traffic Regulation Orders across Westmorland and Furness by patrolling and issuing Penalty Charge Notices for breaches of restrictions. They also support road safety and free traffic movement across Westmorland and Furness to benefit the local economy and communities.

The Role You will be responsible for is enforcing parking regulations on all publicly maintained roads and agreed off-street parking areas within the Barrow and South Lakeland areas. You will be patrolling and issuing Penalty Charge Notices for breaches of the restrictions. You will represent the Council and promote a good relationship with the General Public by providing advice and information concerning parking and parking related matters whenever sought, in a courteous manner at all times, thereby helping to promote public satisfaction with the service provided.
