Sustainable Transport – Decarbonising the Future
We are in the process of developing an Electric Vehicle Strategy for Wiltshire, presenting a remarkable opportunity to be included in a project that aligns seamlessly with Wiltshire Council's commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030.
The Sustainable Transport Service is responsible for the delivery of a wide range of statutory and non-statutory functions that directly impact on businesses and residents of Wiltshire.
As an Infrastructure Delivery Officer, you will support the delivery of a county wide Electric Vehicle Strategy (EVS). Your responsibilities will include managing chargepoint operator contracts, assisting in tender document preparation, identifying charging infrastructure locations, supporting engagement strategies with residents and businesses, and utilising data analytics for location selection. The position involves collaborating with legal, corporate assets, and EV project teams, as well as raising awareness about EVs, promoting their transition, and providing data for project reviews and funding reports to the Department for Transport.
We are looking for a candidate who possesses good interpersonal skills and has effective negotiation skills in addressing complex issues. You will have technical proficiency in data manipulation and statistical analysis. If you have good report writing skills and understand the issues of transport planning and government dynamic, we would love to hear from you.
