The Resilience team oversees all Depot and Resilience Front Line services, including depot operations and the operational response to emergencies from immediate incidents to weather impacts and highway gritting the team also provides legal and technical guidance. This role offers a fantastic chance to launch your career within our Highways and Transport Directorate, working in a small and supportive team environment.

As a Resilience and Depot Technician, you will be responsible for assisting and undertaking all relevant depot management duties such as site inspections, risk assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Health and Safety. You will provide operational support and liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders and other professionals at incidents and emergency events, you will also act as the representative for technical matters related to resilience functions, including correspondence, strategy, policy, plan development and response.

We seek a candidate skilled in team collaboration, confident advising, and adept at adapting to change while maintaining excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As part of the role you will evaluate problems and follow procedures, hence we would be looking for you to have good time management skills to effectively meet deadlines, as well as being proficient in IT and be very adaptable to challenging situations. This role also requires traveling around Wiltshire and our operational depots, therefore a driving license is essential.
