Street Services - improving residents’ lives
Our mission is to ensure our neighbourhoods are vibrant, safe and attractive with community services that meet the needs of local residents. Our Street Services team is central to this, taking pride in our borough and keeping Greenwich clean and green.
Street Services provides a highly important service to all the borough’s residents and visitors from sweeping roads to collecting and emptying household and business waste bins. This is a vital front-line service and has a huge impact on residents and the community.
Our Street Cleansing Operatives play a crucial role - this role involves sweeping the boroughs streets, town centres and highways as well as emptying street litter bins and removing fly tips to maintain a clean and safe environment. The service operates seven days a week.
You will work anywhere in the borough. Working on an AM or PM shift between 6am to 8pm (you must be flexible to join either shift). Starting salary £24,012 a year + allowances
