Manager, Project Manager
Contract Type
Full time

Manage a range of improvement projects to transform how residents access services.

At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, we put our community at the heart of everything we do. You will join us at an exciting time, as we implement our new and ambitious Customer Access Strategy to deliver Borough-wide change. A programme of projects will make a significant difference to how residents interact with the Council. This ranges from service standard design, through to process improvements and principles for customer contact. We are determined to improve, so that we can deliver the very best for the people we serve. You will play a pivotal role in our success.

The Role:

As Project and Change Manager you will be instrumental to improving local residents’ experience of accessing services through a wide range of channels. You will enjoy great support from friendly leaders and colleagues. They share your commitment to solving problems together and delivering the best for customers. This role will see you multi-tasking across projects spanning four workstreams. Managing key transformation and service improvement projects, you will develop and maintain requirements and documentation, and deliver timely results that achieve defined benefits. Collaboration will be key to your success – from building and motivating project teams, to managing diverse stakeholders and suppliers, to engaging with residents and internal services.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

About You:

You have a recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 practitioner status. We expect you to demonstrate a track record of identifying business requirements, leading successful projects to tight deadlines, and working on large-scale organisational change initiatives. A big picture thinker, you are highly organised, adaptable and resilient. You are open, transparent, empathetic, and committed to putting the needs of our local communities first. Whether you are empowering project teams, diplomatically challenging stakeholders, or persuading and influencing diverse audiences through compelling workshops, your communication skills really set you apart.

In return you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.
