We are looking for Programme Control Officers to join the County Council’s Capital Programme team working directly on the Carlisle Southern Link Road (CSLR) project. This role provides a truly exciting opportunity to make an impact for the people of Cumbria.

The CSLR is a £200m infrastructure project which aims to enable the successful delivery of the proposed St Cuthbert’s Garden Village development, improve east-west connectivity and enhance the highway network around Carlisle.

The CSLR project involves the construction of a new 8km single carriageway road with several significant structures including a new bridge over the River Caldew and Cumbrian Coast Line railway and a bridge over the West Coast Main Line.

The CSLR project team are working to procure a contractor for the next stage; the successful candidate will be an excellent team player capable of building positive working relationships with a focus on delivering value for money for the Council.
