We are seeking to recruit a Bridge Engineer to play a key role in an exciting programme of major highway infrastructure development and regeneration across Lancashire. We are looking for enthusiastic, skilled individuals to join our vibrant and growing team of design engineers.
This post is a permanent full-time role based at County Hall, Preston within the Design and Construction Service. The Council operates a flexible working policy with opportunities for home working where appropriate.
Working within a team of engineers, you will identify and develop design solutions on bridge and highway retaining wall projects including new build, strengthening and maintenance, working to achieve ambitious budget and timescale targets.
You will have a working knowledge of current design standards and specifications relating to bridge engineering, including an understanding of bridge structural analysis.
If you have good communications skills, a customer focused approach to service delivery and experience of managing or assisting in delivering of bridge design projects from scheme inception to construction completion then we would be delighted to hear from you.
