Job Details

The Place and Economy Directorate is at the forefront of making sure Cambridgeshire is open for business. The Network Management Officer role is based within Place and Economy Highways and Transport Service and provides an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to join our Highways and Transport team working across Cambridgeshire County Council.

The role is to plan, prepare and oversee planned maintenance works (e.g. winter maintenance, grass cutting, gully emptying, weed control, etc.) and other work as required.

To assist the District Highway Maintenance Manager and to work with Community Groups and Partners, dealing with customer correspondence from Parish Councils and members of the public. You will be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written and be able to build relationships with customers, elected members, businesses, partner organisations and other stakeholders.

This is a varied role for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate, with experience of highway maintenance or a technical background, who is looking for a challenge and wishes to make a positive impact throughout Cambridgeshire.

The role has a flexible structure to cope with varying workload pressures and the post holder will be required to regularly work from a number of bases across Cambridgeshire.

We are proud to serve the diverse communities of Cambridgeshire and want our workforce to be reflective of this diversity, which we believe benefits our employees, the organisation and our communities.

For informal enquiries please contact Dennis Vacher or Jonathan Clarke

Interviews will be held remotely on MS Teams on Wednesday 31st August 2022.
