Hertfordshire County Council offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic senior transport planner, with a focus on assessing the highway impacts of developments and providing responses to planning authorities. You’ll join our specialist Development Management Group at an exciting time for the county, as you help to facilitate safe and highly sustainable growth across Hertfordshire.

We are actively recruiting for Highways Development Managers within the Environment & Transport Department. This role involves responsibilities such as managing a small to medium sized team to ensure responses are given to Local Planning Authorities, developers and their designers on time, Section 106 and 278 obligations are gained from developers, and delivered in accordance with our LTP, local plans and strategies. As a scheme sponsor, you would ensure legal agreements and Traffic Regulation Orders are completed swiftly, and that key stakeholders are engaged as early as possible. You would collaborate on service improvements, new standards and departures.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with relevant experience.
