It is an exciting time to join the Highways Service at Rochdale Council. We have an interesting opportunity for a Technical Support Officer – Signing & Lining to join the Network Management team. We are working with a number of projects to refresh and improve road lines and signs across the Borough.

You will work through all aspects of the projects; keeping the road lines and sign database up to date, drawing plans (training will be provided), ordering works and checking the work has been completed on-site.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with good interpersonal and organisational skills, whom in return will receive excellent local government benefits, a supportive senior leadership team, and have the opportunity to really improve our highway network.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a Technical Support background. If you are solutions and results focused, a team player and would like to join a transforming organisation, then this role could be for you.

If you are interested in what we are offering, and have the skills we are looking for we want to hear from you. If you would like to discuss the post further please contact Nathan McKendrey (Team Leader Highway Network Management) on 01706 924588
