We have an exciting opportunity for Project Engineers to deliver our highway capital programme. Rochdale Council is investing £18m, in addition to our annual LTP allocation, to improve our highway network over the next five years. To facilitate this funding programme we are looking to appoint 5 Project Engineers. One of these appointments will be a permanent position and the remaining 4 positions will be offered on a temporary 5 year contract basis.

You will be part of the team responsible for the delivery of highway improvement schemes across the borough. You will carry out survey and design work to produce works information for delivery by our framework partners. You will supervise construction works on site and will be responsible for the financial management of the projects assigned to you.

The ideal candidates will have experience of working within a highway design and construction environment to deliver capital improvement schemes across the highway network.
