Commercial & Technical Development Manager
Kirklees is currently going through major transformational change to our Resource & Waste Management services, from delivering on our ambitious new strategy to reprocuring a new disposal contract and we are looking for someone who is driven to achieve the best possible outcomes for all our customers in challenging times.
We want to recruit a Commercial and Technical Development Manager with the right skills, attitude and behaviours, to be innovative and creative as we reshape our relationships to work with and alongside our communities and volunteers, empowering citizens and communities to do more for themselves and each other to create a culture and an environment we can all enjoy and be proud of.
This is a high-profile role requiring exceptional leadership skills together with technical expertise on all aspects of environmental contracts, performance management and reporting, taking primary responsibility for the management of a long standing PFI contract and securing a new one.
The role will support the Head of Service and work closely with colleagues to develop and deliver services to best value principles which are both sustainable and contribute to the key climate, regeneration and health improvement strategies of the Council. You will be responsible for ensuring all relevant statutory obligations are met.
