Job Details

Following the Department for Transport (DfT)’s announcement that West Berkshire has been awarded an indicative £2.6m, we are looking to recruit a Senior Engineer to assist with our Bus Services Improvement Plan (BSIP) programme.

This is an exciting new opportunity and the successful applicant will be required to implement the capital schemes associated with the BSIP and Enhanced Partnership (www.westberks.gov.uk/enhancedpartnership).

The successful applicant should hold a degree or equivalent in a technical/engineering subject and have 5 years’ experience of working on highway improvements.  Applicants should be able to supervise contractors and consultants, have excellent communication skills, be able to work on their own and as part of a team, and manage their own workload.  They will also need strong IT skills.
