The Role:

"Children are at the forefront of both strategic planning and frontline practice.”

This is a quote from Ofsted’s most recent focused visit to Bolton in June 2021.

We are determined to provide the very best for every child, ensuring good is good for everyone. To do this, we are seeking a Children's Services Reform Programme Manager who is passionate about improving outcomes for children in Bolton.

The recent education white paper, SEND green paper and independent review of children’s social care set the scale of reform which will be required across Children’s Services nationally. Operating within the senior leadership structure, you will develop and manage our change programmes to support this reform, ensuring that we meet our statutory and non-statutory responsibilities. You will embody our behaviours and values in all that you do, working across the Children’s Services system and ensure the effective implementation of all the programmes you lead.

We are making clear and sustained progress across our services, and you will play a key part in continuing to drive forward changes to process and procedure to increase efficiency and deliver excellent services.

About You:

You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills in a complex operating environment, and professional knowledge and expertise in developing and managing complex programmes to deliver change.

To succeed in this role, you will be a strong collaborator and confident system leader, ensuring there is collective focus and accountability on improving performance and outcomes.

You will be comfortable leading and working as part of a team that drives and champion’s best practice. By learning new ways of working, you will create a service that ensures our children are able to achieve their full potential, and are able to live, learn and grow up locally.

Bolton is a place where you can make a personal impact to the lives of children and young people. By contributing to the creation of a positive and welcoming culture you will inspire and nurture the mix of professionals who you work closely with to strive for continued and sustained progress across the range of services we provide.

About Us:

In Bolton we are passionate about keeping children and their families at the heart of all we do.

You will have access to a wide range of benefits to support you to be the best you can be, including:

·         Supportive work environment

·         Access to learning and development opportunities and activities for your Continued Professional Development

·         Opportunities to shape practice and service delivery

·         Access to a range of staff benefits including gym membership, Cycle to Work and car lease schemes.
