We are looking to recruit two motivated and experienced audit and assurance professionals to join our team as Principal Auditors.

The role involves taking lead responsibility for the delivery of audits across a portfolio of clients and specialist areas.

You will work with a high degree of independence, developing effective relationships with audit clients including senior managers of the Council, and make a valuable contribution to the way the Council and other clients manage their business.

You will also be a valued team member, supporting and learning from other members of the team, contributing to their development, and leading by example.

About You

 Candidates will be either MIIA/CCAB qualified or part qualified with relevant governance, risk or control related experience.

You will combine the ability to plan, deliver and manage audit work with excellent communication skills. Taking responsibility for your own development, you will build on your audit knowledge and experience to deliver a service that adds value for clients.

The Internal Audit service is in a joint management arrangement with Manchester City Council under a shared Head of Audit and Risk Management, giving opportunities for collaboration and development. You will be supported with your personal development, including completion of MIIA/CCAB qualifications where relevant.
