Job Details

Due to the retirement of the current post holder, we are looking for a Principal Educational Psychologist to lead the Educational Psychology service and be the Emotional Health and Well-Being strategic lead in Greenwich.  We have taken this opportunity to review the role and broaden the remit of the PEP post to include being the Strategic Lead for Emotional Health and Well-Being. The successful candidate will influence and shape this new role, in collaboration with key partners including our local CAMHS service, Inclusion service and across Social Care. The counselling service and Restorative Approaches Co-ordinator will become part of this new integrated service.

We are looking for someone who is excited about the opportunities that this brings and will bring dynamism, enthusiasm and a child centred approach to developing this new role.  You will be in a position to make a significant positive difference to the lives of children and young people in Greenwich.

The Service has a strong team of senior Educational Psychologists who are influencing the way forward along with the wider team. Our Parent and Young People’s participation forums will also be an integral part of the selection process.

The Educational Psychology service is directly managed by the Senior Assistant Director for Inclusion, Learning and Achievement and the post holder will be part of a senior leadership team including not just SEND colleagues but also from School Improvement and our Professional Development Service.
