We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated lawyer on a 12 month fixed contract to join us in Brent’s impressive Civic Centre, located right next to Wembley stadium and just a 12 minute train ride from Baker Street and a 21 minute train ride from Kings Cross. The Post
Our Housing Litigation team is seeking to recruit a lawyer on a fixed 12 month contract to provide succinct legal advice and assistance on a range of housing litigation issues including: possession proceedings (secure and temporary accommodation), anti-social behaviour, injunctions (ASB and access) and disrepair. You will have the opportunity to undertake regular advocacy, draft and file documents at court and will also be expected to work with minimal supervision on complex Housing Litigation cases.
The Person
We are looking for flexible individuals with good knowledge and experience in Housing Law, especially in disrepair matters. The successful candidate must be a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX/ Chartered Legal Executive and be familiar with the Housing Act 1985, the Housing Act 1996, the Equality Act 2010 and the Civil Procedure Rules. They must have good presentation skills, experience of court advocacy and the ability to give clear and proactive legal advice.
