We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Environmental Services Team which is responsible for managing the delivery of key council services including waste collection, recycling, street cleansing of public highways and Lambeth Housing estates, and waste treatment and disposal. Contracts managed by the service are with some of the Council’s largest external suppliers.

The post holder will support the management of environmental contracts to ensure quality of goods and services provided are in keeping with requirements and that all documentation, payments, procedures, and systems used to manage the contract are kept up to date. This will include undertaking quality assurance inspections to ensure an adequate cleansing service is being delivered to Lambeth streets and estates.

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with our waste contractor and have a sound understanding of waste collection and street cleansing operations and experience of using payment software They will be fully aware of legislation pertaining to the service area and will be required to undertake quality control inspections and engage regularly with the contractor to continuously improve performance and value for money.
