If so, then an apprenticeship with City of York Council could be for you as we are looking for an HR Apprentice to join us and become part of our amazing team!

As an HR Apprentice, you will work towards a level 3 apprenticeship in HR Support and full details can be found at: https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/

You should thrive on attention to detail and be passionate about gaining the foundation knowledge and experience needed to deliver a good HR service and gain the confidence which will help you to succeed in the role and prepare you for a future career within HR.

This apprenticeship is Fixed Term for 21 months.

In this role, you will:

  • work primarily with the Resourcing Team
  • deal with day to day queries and provide advice
  • use HR systems to keep records and provide information
  • apply the knowledge gained from your apprenticeship to real-life situations, whilst developing your practical abilities
  • be mentored by experienced HR professionals

Ideally candidates should hold the following qualifications:

Five GCSEs grades 4 or above or equivalent including Maths and English. Apprentices without Level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to completion of their Apprenticeship.
