About the role

As part of a major service transformation, Haringey is seeking to recruit to a new number of new positions. This new operating model will unlock the benefits and efficiencies offered by a new Parking IT system, as well as providing adequate staffing resources to take the transformation programme forward, ensuring that the service continues to adapt to a fast-changing commercial, legislative, technological environment.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Enforcement Supervisor to be a prominent member of the management team contributing to updating of the Parking enforcement management system to improve the service delivered and ensure excellent customer satisfaction through regular training and development.
First line performance management of a team of Civil Enforcement Officers to provide an efficient and effective service of parking enforcement to minimise illegal parking acts through the issue of penalty charge notices in appropriate cases.
Deputise for the Parking Enforcement Team Manager, where necessary, in a professional and customer focused manner.

About you

We need an experienced Senior Enforcement Supervisor with detailed knowledge of parking enforcement including:

• The relevant legislation and codes of practice in order to identify offences, carry out appropriate enforcement action and provide supervisory advice.
• Day to day supervision of front line operational staff ensuring their adherence to procedures and regulations and where necessary initiate first line management action in relation to people management issues; including performance, conduct and absence.
• Ability to lead by example, motivate staff and foster a positive organisational culture.
