Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Because we’re not just home to the UK’s fast-growing economy. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today. And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. As a Social Worker in the Early Intervention Service, you will form part of a large network of professionals in an integrated Mental Health setting.  Mental Health support in Camden is provided in joint partnership and collaboration between Camden Council and Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust.

The role

We are looking for a mental health Social Worker who is keen, enthusiastic and passionate about social work and primary care working to join us.

You will enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team alongside a number of other Mental Health practitioners.

You will support the daily functions of the service to ensure our clients are able to access support for their mental and social health care needs in a timely and straightforward way which draws on existing community resources and views the individual in a holistic manner.

Your responsibilities will include safeguarding, assessing risk and planning and implementing care plans.

We work closely with our colleagues in the NHS, Adult Social Care and voluntary sector and are looking for an experienced mental health social worker who is able to support the team to develop and strengthen professional relationships across the network.

If you are looking for the next step up or new challenge in your Social Care career then we want to hear from you.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

This role requires you to be a qualified Social Worker and must be registered with Social Work England. Also, to be successful in this role you must be willing to show a commitment to undertake Post Qualifying Courses when relevant, including the Approved Mental Health Practitioner course.

The successful candidates will be enthusiastic, passionate and committed to work within the recovery model and dedicated to improve the well-being of service users and their carers.  It is essential that you demonstrate the ability to take responsibility for managing your own workload at a high standard and delivering to set deadlines.

We’re ready to welcome your ideas, your views, and your rebellious spirit. Help us redefine our Mental Health services here in Camden, and we’ll redefine what a career can be.
