About Haringey

The Public health team sits within adult and health directorate of Haringey Council. You will be joining a vibrant busy public health team working on a number of different programs to reduce health inequalities and improve the lives of residents living in Haringey. The team has strong stable leadership and plays a valued part in delivery of the Borough Plan.

About the Role

The post is focused on public health prevention programmes to improve the health and wellbeing of people living and working in Haringey; with a particular focus on reducing health inequalities.

You will be responsible for the development and commissioning of personal and community health prevention programs which include smoking cessation, NHS Health Checks, Cardiac rehab, walking and the Integrated Lifestyles service One You Haringey. 

About You

To be qualified at minimum degree level however, a master’s degree in public health would be desirable. Progression in a career in public health will be supported.

We expect a comprehensive, specialised, factual and theoretical knowledge of delivery of lifestyles services. Able to use knowledge to solve problems creatively, make judgements which require analysis and interpretation, and actively contribute to service and self-development.
