Focussing on the health and social care integration agenda, you will need to make sense of lots of data and information to provide quality performance analysis for key programmes and projects in this area.

The Performance Analyst is an excellent opportunity for analysts to further develop their skills in exciting areas such as forecasting, demand and capacity modelling and working with analytical tools such as Power BI.  You will be comfortable in writing informative analytical reports for a wide and varied audience.

You will be joining the high performing, and supportive, Adults Performance Team; committed to assisting the Adult Social Care and Public Health Directorate to “Deliver the best for residents”.

Performance Analyst will be required to:

  • Demonstrate curiosity and apply analytical skills when solving problems with performance data.

  • Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and develop.

  • Extract, collate and summarise information and develop analytical reports and performance dashboards.

  • Be able to summarise and present information and conclusions in the most appropriate format for a varied audience.

  • Have an eye for detail, be inquisitive, and be able to tell a story with information.

You will:

  • Be a forward-thinking individual with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

  • Have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.

  • Be highly numerate with skills in analysis, interpretation of complex datasets and report writing.

  • Have very strong IT skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI).

  • Be a proactive self-starter with the ability to use your own initiative.

We offer:

  • Data science apprenticeships for suitable and motivated candidates.

  • A very positive and supportive environment to work in.

  • Opportunities to use your own autonomy to develop new and existing skills in data visualisation tools and analysis techniques.

  • Flexible remote working arrangements.  However, some office working is expected in line with service needs.

We recognise the importance of a good balance between work and home life so we do everything we can to accommodate flexible working including working from home compressed and other arrangements. Please just let us know in your application or at any stage throughout the process (and beyond) if these are options you’d like to explore.

We also offer a generous holiday allowance of 39 paid days (pro rata) including bank holidays and a wide range of learning and development opportunities.

In addition, we offer a comprehensive range of staff benefits such as membership of the Local Government pension scheme, childcare vouchers, new technology scheme, interest-free loans on annual travel cards, discounts with many leisure activities, restaurants, shops and other establishments.
