About Us:

Playing a central role in improving housing services to improve outcomes for our residents.

At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, we put delivering for our communities at the heart of everything we do.

Following the Grenfell tragedy, we have brought Housing Management back within the council, which is where The Service Improvement team are central to working with colleagues across the department, to improve the way we do things and deliver services, which better meet our residents’ needs.

With a collaborative, flexible approach, and open communication, we work with a wide range of people to gain trust and make a positive difference.

This is your chance to join a team who genuinely care, and have made a pledge to do right by people, their properties and tenancies.

The Role:

As a Project and Change Officer, you’ll play a pivotal part in improving the services we provide to residents.

We’ll look to you to manage key projects to improve residents’ experience of accessing services, and to improve the performance of the Housing Management department.

This will involve everything from implementing new processes and developing new policies, to coordinating emergency responses.

It’s going to mean building relationships with people in a range of different departments, as well as supporting with the engagement of residents groups and suppliers.

Along the way, you’ll contribute to the development of improvement programmes, and you’ll maintain vital project management documentation.

Crucially, you will produce real results that have a positive impact for our communities.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

About You:

To join us, you’ll need a degree plus qualifications in project management, business management and change management or equivalent experience.

We’ll expect you to demonstrate excellent project management skills, with a proven ability to deliver multiple projects to tight deadlines.

Your experience of delivering large-scale organisational change initiatives will enable you to start making a difference here from day one.

To thrive here, your patience and resilience must be matched by the ability to quickly adapt and pick up new things.

It is your ability to engage with all kinds of people and build productive, positive and professional relationships that will really set you apart.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.
