Job Details
The role
The Business Analyst will provide support in the management of large and complex data sets associated with over 3 million waste transactions per annum. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for providing detailed analysis of this data identifying trends and movements in waste tonnages and other indicators to support decision making and take responsibility for providing and submitting the Authority’s statutory WasteDataFlow returns. Looking forwards, the post-holder will also support the Digital Transformation Manager in the introduction and integration of new Data Management Systems that enhance the Authority’s management and understanding of data.
For more information, please refer to the job profile.
To be successful in this role you will need to be highly numerate and literate with a qualification in a relevant subject or some experience of applying statistical knowledge and skills. It will also be necessary to have some experience of analysing data using statistical software packages, e.g. Excel (advanced), SPSS, STATA, Visual Basics, Power BI, and Qlikview.
We’re ready to welcome your ideas, your views, and your rebellious spirit. This is a pivotal time for NLWA as well as for the waste sector as a whole. This post provides an exciting opportunity to shape NLWA’s approach to data management and analysis to support the Authority’s long-term plans for the future.
