The Post

Brent Housing Management is proud to be a compassionate landlord committed to provided excellent homes to Brent residents.

This is an exciting time to join the service as we grow a Council owned portfolio of Supported Housing and Temporary Accommodation.

We are searching for a Handyperson to work alongside a team of Supported Housing and Temporary Accommodation Officers to ensure new homes are well maintained.

You will be required to carry out Health and Safety inspections within the buildings, establish and monitor processes for carrying out basic repairs and liaising with Council contractors for more complex jobs to a high standard.

We want this service to be a personable service and you will need to work with vulnerable residents to make their house feel like a home.

Working closely with the development team will be essential to succeeding in the role as you will need to advocate on behalf of residents needs at all stages of the new build process and ensure homes are handed over so as a team you are ready to mobilise new blocks from day one.

The Person

You must be someone who believes in the importance of providing good quality affordable housing and be prepared to hold people to task so we deliver high performing services to residents.

You should be experienced in a recognised trade but able to carry out most basic repairs as well as having a good understanding of health and safety plus grounds maintenance.

You should be a personable individual, capable of building up a rapport with residents and take a proactive approach to resolving problems.
