Project Engineers: Network Improvements Team (Highways)/Traffic & Road Safety/Asset Management

West Berkshire Council are looking for innovative, enthusiastic and focused individuals who will lead on the design, construction and implementation of a wide range of schemes involved with active travel, highway improvements, intelligent transport systems, parking and road safety works, drainage and flood risk management functions.

The successful candidate will help shape the Council’s programmes and help deliver modern, dynamic and pioneering schemes that provide exceptional infrastructure for the public.  We have become recognised as a fast-moving, modern and dynamic Council and there is a determination to provide high quality and value-for-money services whilst challenging and changing the preconceived ideas and status quo, and this means ensuring that our staff have all the qualifications, skills and knowledge they need to do a professional job.

Applications are welcomed from recently qualified graduates or more experienced Civil/Highway Engineers.  We would also be interested to hear from Technicians wishing to make the step up to an Engineer-level post.
