Business Relationship Manager

Here at North Yorkshire County Council our Technology and Change Department support the council to better manage demand and customer experience through effective channel management and customer responsive service design, including increasing the availability and use of digital channels. The council is committed to delivering modern working environments and flexible workspaces and T&C play a key role in maximising the effective use of digital office technologies, productivity software, digital communications, including collaborative technologies, and digital information systems.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Relationship Manager to join our team as we prepare to deliver the next phase of transformation in North Yorkshire.
Your role as Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is key to developing partnerships with service areas to ensure that T&C strategy and services align with business strategy and support delivery of the business outcomes required. You will identify and promote opportunities to exploit the use of Digital, Data, Technology, Customer services and Process Change to the benefit of the County Council and its partners in terms of improved service outcomes, and act as the trusted advisor, strategic lead and “account manager” for all Technology and Change related work for our business customers, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement for the business, driving the development of business capabilities and assisting the development of change proposals in support of business objectives leading to the development of the business case and specification.
What you will bring?
To be successful in this role you will have significant experience in a Business Relationship role, have a good understanding of best practice in ITIL service management with exceptional communications skills written and verbal with the ability to influence and negotiate both internal and external stakeholders.
