The Role

We have an excitement opportunity within our Housing Inclusion Service for people looking to further their career in homelessness.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich has high levels of housing need, and our Service aims to prevent homelessness wherever possible and to enable people to access different housing options. Our Housing Inclusion Officers manage their own caseloads and are responsible for meeting set targets for homelessness prevention by providing high quality housing advice and support through casework with applicants and effective working relationship with partners.

The Requirements

You must be an excellent communicator both written and oral, with good IT and negotiation skills. You will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of social housing legislation, and ability to deliver the duties required by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. You will also have a strong customer care focus and casework management skills including the ability to identify and deal sensitively with contentious issues for a vulnerable client group with support needs. We are seeking conscientious and resilient people, who have a commitment to homelessness and want to help us deliver excellent services.
