About the Role

We are currently looking for an individual who can ensure the efficient use of the Lincolnshire Highway Network for Events and Vehicular Accesses and manage the team on operational, technical, performance and financial matters, in the coordination, inspection and compliance of activity on the highway. You need to be able to represent the authority and provide Safety Advice at local and County SAG's (Safety Advisory Groups), to approve the use of the public highway and provide advice to local and national event organisers for the benefit of the service and the local economy.

You will be responsible for managing the delivery of the S184 vehicle access applications, with planning, monitoring, reviewing and developing all policy and procedures required to deliver this part of the service.

An in-depth knowledge of Traffic Management, Traffic Orders and legislation is essential.

You will assist the Street Works and Permitting Manager in the interpretation and implementation of legislation and policy to safeguard the authority against potential legal challenges. This will include support to constant review and amendment to working practices, procedures and systems.

You will be  given a nominated contractual work base and once current restrictions are lifted you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.
