Job Details

City of York Council’s Economic Growth team is recruiting for an Economic Growth Officer to support the delivery of an exciting range of strategic projects and programmes that will make a positive impact on York’s 210,000 residents and 7,200 businesses.

The role will involve a varied mix of policy development, project management, research and data analysis and external partnership work to help guide the development of York’s economy.

As a strong driver of regional growth, York offers businesses and residents fast and direct rail connections to London and other major cities across the UK, superb digital connectivity, an excellent quality of life and in York Central, the city has one of the largest city-centre mix-use brownfield sites being developed in the country.

You will join a proactive, dynamic team and support the delivery of high-profile projects, providing technical support across the Economy & Place Directorate, the Council and with city partners.
