Job Details
This is an exciting opportunity to support for the development and delivery of the Council’s Climate Change Action Plan and related Borough-wide Action Plan.
Working across the Council and with key partners which will include assisting with:
• Researching and identifying potential external funding to support delivery of Action Plans;
• Working with Officers from across the Council to support delivery of Actions;
• Engaging with the community, key partners, schools, Parish & Town Councils in the development and implementation of projects that reduce/mitigate impact of Climate Change;
• Assisting in the collation and analysis of data on progress towards carbon reduction targets;
• Monitoring, reporting on and communicating progress relating to Action Plans’ activities;
• Promoting examples of climate change related partnership working, developing case studies and responding to requests for information;
• Researching and disseminating national policy and best practice;
• Developing and updating relevant e-team sites, Web/Intranet pages, communication and engagement campaigns, and social media applications that promote the sustainability agenda;
• Providing project support to the Council Climate Change Working Group and the Borough Climate Change Partnership as well as any associated groups.
• Undertake other such duties, projects and responsibilities commensurate with the grade that are not mentioned in this job description.
