The Place and Economy Directorate is at the forefront of making sure Cambridgeshire is open for business. There are two Network Management Officer posts vacant within Place and Economy Highways Service and provides an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individuals looking to join our highways team working within Cambridgeshire County Council.

The roles are to plan, prepare and oversee planned maintenance works relating to the surface treatments programme and other work as required to meet the County Council's requirements. There will be a post for footway surface treatments and another for carriageway surface treatments.

To assist the Surface Treatments Manager and to work with Community Groups and Partners, dealing with customer correspondence from Parish Councils and members of the public. You will be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written and be able to build relationships with customers, elected members, businesses, partner organisations and other stakeholders.

These are varied roles for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate, with experience of highway maintenance or a technical background, who are looking for a challenge and wishes to make a positive impact throughout Cambridgeshire.

The role has a flexible structure to cope with varying workload pressures and the post holder will be required to regularly work from a number of bases across Cambridgeshire.
