Job Details

Do you believe in the power of arts, culture and heritage to enrich people’s lives, improve our health and wellbeing, and increase civic pride?

Chelmsford Theatres is undergoing a major transformation — launching a new, ambitious programme of co-productions, talent development, outreach and outdoor events.

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a highly creative Visitor Experience Manager to recruit and lead a dynamic front of house team. Working closely with the Artistic Director to reshape all aspects of the customer experience.

From installing a new box office system striving for frictionless sales, through to developing a cafe culture — maximising income generation and creating a new social hub at the heart of the West End in Chelmsford.

The successful applicant will be part of a highly driven Theatres Management Team and a progressive Cultural Services department working together to raise Chelmsford’s cultural profile.

Candidates for this role should have demonstrable experience of working as a Front of House manager or similar position with a good knowledge of the theatres, audiences and the segmentations as well as commercialisation with potential opportunities to develop new income streams.

If you are keen to ignite a passion for Chelmsford and want to help shape its future as a great place to live and work, whilst also enhancing the Theatre’s profile as a visitor destination, then apply today.
