This is a full time role for a fixed term of one year.

The Data Developer is part of a specialist team with technical expertise and knowledge to deliver accessible data to the organisation. Using professional industry recognised techniques, the role is critical in delivering accessible, well structured data and information to operational teams to empower them to make business decisions and deliver effective/efficient services. This role will be working on the Data Transformation workstream within the Social Care Platform Programme, and will involve working collaboratively with internal customers from Adult Operations, Children and Families, Finance and Corporate Services.

This role will be one of the Subject Matter Experts within the Programme and will be supporting activity relating to development of data reports, data analysis and data cleansing to support the data transformation workstream. Applying technical capabilities in SQL to help create reports and extract data, converting business requirements into technical specifications to support data migration and improve data integrity.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

We're looking for people with a wide knowledge of database theories, ETL and business intelligence tools, e.g. Power BI, Business objects and SSRS. You'll also be highly competent when it comes to SQL and developing other programming skills. In terms of qualifications, you should be educated to degree level or have the equivalent experience. But just as much, we're looking for great communicators and collaborators who can work with all kinds of people to achieve great results. Previous experience of working with social care data/familiarity with social care case management processes is desirable

*This position will initially, in line with current government guidance be based from home, with an expectation of being home based for the foreseeable future. However, if / when government guidelines change the role may then revert to being office based, whilst retaining some flexible working options.
