Business Support Assistant Creditors
The Creditor’s team within the City of York Council are offering an opportunity to join this business critical service, processing payments for the whole authority.
This post is a Maternity Cove.Working within an agreed set of priorities and standard operating procedures, provide business support to financial services, customers and employers.
Computer literate to a high degree you will act as a ‘super user’ on bespoke financial systems.
You will have knowledge of financial management policies and procedures, and be accurate and numerate, with the ability to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
The role requires excellent communication skills both written and oral. The successful candidate will deal with a high volume of customer queries, for which you will require experience of dealing with customers, with tact and diplomacy.
You will need the ability to work flexibly in order to meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy, even when working under pressure.
The post holder will be part of a service that continues to develop and adapt working practices. You will have demonstrable ability to suggest improvements and be flexible, and responsive to change.
