Fostering & Adoption Business Support Leader

Royal Greenwich Children’s Services offers an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a business and finance support team providing specialist support to our Fostering and Adoption services.

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic individual who has experience of successfully managing others and business acumen to support the delivery of our fostering and adoption social work services.

Both services operate within highly regulated frameworks and with confidential information and it is imperative that the individual is fully informed and compliant with statutory administrative requirements.

You will be required to undergo enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks.

The role involves:

  • Directing and coordinating the financial and administrative tasks within the Fostering and Adoption services, including the functioning of statutory fostering and adoption panels.
  • Managing, supervising and leading specialist business support, finance and panel administration staff.
  • Ensuring continuity of payments to foster carers, adopters and Special Guardians – and where necessary deputising to deliver this.
  • Providing management reporting of information, analysis and data required by leadership team, senior leaders and regulatory authorities.

We can offer you professional supervision, good terms and conditions, career development and a welcoming supportive team environment and integration in the wider Permanence Service alongside other social work teams.

If you feel you have the skills, knowledge, confidence and commitment that we are looking for then we would welcome your application.

Closing date: 25 April 2021
