The business critical Night Security Service operates twenty four hours a day, three hundred and sixty five days a year, providing a central intercom and door entry access controlled service and an out of hours mobile security service to 103 Birmingham City Council owned residential tower blocks.

To provide a professional and effective public door entry monitoring service working closely with the Mobile Patrol Officers and Control Room Operatives, helping to provide safe, clean and secure neighbourhoods across the city of Birmingham.

You will be required to ensure the co-ordination of work between a team of Mobile Patrol Officers and Control Room Operatives.

You will be responsible for maintaining yearly rosters for the overall running of the Night Security Service, manage leave requests, manage sickness records, conduct return to work interviews, attendance review meetings and put into place Attendance Improvement Plans as and when necessary, ensuring that you comply with Birmingham City Council’s Managing of Sickness Absence Procedure.

Completion of monthly one to ones, Performance Development Reviews and undertaking performance validity checks on the service provided. Develop training plans. Contribute and chair regular team meetings.

You will be required to work a 36:50 hour week, working a 12 hour rotating shift system which includes days, weekends and Bank Holidays.

A full driving licence is essential.
