Fantastic development opportunity

Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.

The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.

The Post

The role of a Deputy Team Manager in the Duty Team is to provide leadership, development and direction across Adult Social Care by ensuring that the team provides the best support to our service users whilst working with them, their families and other partners.

The Person

The successful candidate will also be making sure that the practice within the team is fair and professional at all times. You will build professional relationships with the people we support, families, other staff members and external professionals.

You will ensure that all the assessments and records relating to service users are accurate and up to date and using respectful language.

You will work in a consistent and positive way with the other managers and staff members from other teams. You will ensure that all organisation policies and specific agreed ways of working in the service are followed.

You will supervise, coach and train your staff members to become person centred and apply a strength based approach.

The successful candidate will use IT to undertake a range of administrative tasks and to follow procedural guidelines and complete appropriate documentation in required formats and to compile detailed written reports and be able to communicate clearly to people we support, employees and other partners all in parallel with the nature of confidentiality.
