We are looking to recruit x2 Independent Travel Trainers to join our amazing Children’s Services and help play a central role in achieving positive outcomes for children in Wandsworth!
We are recruiting x2 positions. Details below:
- x1 full time, permanent position.
- x1 term-time, fixed term contract (12 months) position.
About the service
This is an excellent opportunity to join our new in-house Independent Travel Training service and help make a difference in the lives of children and young people.

About the role
As the ITT Trainer, you will report to the ITT Coordinator, and work with our SEN Children in developing their travel independence. The successful candidate will need to have a background in working with Children with SEN needs and preferably experience in independent travel training.
To be shortlisted to interview for this position your CV and personal statement (no longer than two sides of A4) will clearly evidence:
- You will have a proactive approach and willingness to build effective relationships with our ITT partners, Wandsworth families, other departmental teams, and key stakeholders across the organisation.
- The environment is fast-paced and demanding. You will need to be a good communicator, well organised, have excellent written skills, be empathetic with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
Flexible working hours will be required in order to get the trainee to their school on time for the start of the school day.
